# Work · Luís Costa

> Production sites, recorded live, plus the things I build for myself. Front-end developer at Skrey since November 2024.

## Selected work

### [Amoretta](https://amorettaparfum.com)
Fragrance house. Solo build, launched Sep 2026.
- Built the site solo and owned the entire interaction layer.
- Made the “Smell this” homepage interaction click: the bottle gives way to ingredient panels that slide in as you interact.
- A vertical key-ingredients slider on the product page, with the sticky add-to-cart and header handing off cleanly in both scroll directions.
- Shipped with every Core Web Vital, INP included, in the green.

Stack: Shopify, Liquid, JavaScript, CSS

### [The Lab.yrinth](https://thelabyrinthworld.com)
Art and fashion boutique. My first solo and first Shopify project.
- Built the Digital Archive editorial section from scratch in JavaScript: crossfading images and a drawer for posts with many pictures. [See it live](https://thelabyrinthworld.com/blogs/news/when-was-the-last-time-that-you-felt-loved-by-yourself)
- Testing the ground: about two months of finding out what I could do on Shopify, owning every interaction and motion decision.
- Prototyped and built the original dual-panel menu, with smooth, interruptible CSS transitions.

Stack: Shopify, Liquid, JavaScript, CSS

### [Revolution Needles](https://revolutionneedles.com)
Tattoo needles. Rebuilt from scratch on Shopify.
- Built the Shopify site from scratch, with no code carried over from the old Next.js one. The motion it was known for came back better.
- A LERP-based custom cursor that eases after the pointer, with drag and link states over the blog posts.
- Slider animations designed on top of keen-slider.
- Led the build and mentored the second developer.

Stack: Shopify, Liquid, JavaScript, CSS

### [Quebramar](https://quebramar.com)
Fashion
- A desktop menu that moves with intent but stays quiet enough for the brand.
- Led the build and mentored the second developer.

Stack: Shopify, Liquid, JavaScript, CSS

## Other work

### [PCDiga](https://www.pcdiga.com)
Electronics retailer
- Owned the interaction layer and the accessibility overhaul, and co-led the move from Next.js 11 to 15.

### [ToWorkFor](https://toworkfor.pt)
Workwear
- The animated floating header and complex product cards.

### [Homycasa](https://homycasa.pt)
Furniture and decor
- Built on a compressed timeline, with custom delivery-date logic.

### [Darty](https://www.darty.pt)
Electronics retailer
- Built the two-step scroll interaction on the mobile header.

## Personal projects

### [Lumen](https://lumen-demo-delta.vercel.app)
Budget planner. Status: Live demo (iOS port soon); Stack: React (Vite · Motion); Made: Solo (In my free time).

- My biggest project. It started as a Lovable experiment; I moved it off Lovable Cloud once I used it for real, and now build it with Claude in my free time.
- Shaders give it a slow nebula glow, so opening a budget feels calm rather than clinical.
- Quick picks fill amount and category in one tap; Insights shows where the month went.
- A native iOS port is almost complete.

### Santinhos
A weekend game for camp. Status: Offline (Since camp); Stack: Next.js (Mobile PWA); Language: PT (Português).

- Everyone is secretly an angel to someone and a little devil to others: do good unseen, cause trouble without getting caught.
- Split-screen home, scoreboard and rules, designed for phones in a camp setting.
